KARACHI, Jan 25: The federal and provincial governments have decided that the subject of English will be taught from class one. This was stated by the Sindh minister for education and literacy, Dr Hamida Khuhro, here on Thursday.

She was speaking as the chief guest at the distribution of free dictionaries among the 9th class students of NJV High School.

The minister said that dictionaries helped in the acquisition of knowledge. She pointed out that the dictionaries would be distributed free of charge among the 9th class students in Sindh.

Dr Khuhro said that they English to Sindhi and English to Urdu dictionaries.—APP
