KARACHI, Jan 25: In a major shake-up in police, the provincial government transferred and posted several police officers on Thursday. Sultan Salahuddin Babar Khattak, additional IGP, Special Branch, was transferred and posted as Regional Police Officer, Hyderabad, replacing Fayyaz Ali Khan who has already proceeded on ex-Pakistan leave.

Zafar Ahmed Farooqi, DIG Administration, was transferred and posted as RPO, Sukkur. He replaced Muhammed Bachal Sangi who was posted as Additional IGP, Special Branch.

Muhammed Akbar Arian, who was awaiting posting, was posted as DIG, Headquarters, replacing Saud Ahmed Mirza who has proceeded to Pakistan Administrative Staff College, Lahore.

Major (retd) Khurram Gulzar, SSP traffice Zone IV, was transferred and posted as DIG Administration. Ghulam Hyder Jamali, DPO Thatta, was transferred and posted as DIG Operation, Mirpurkhas, replacing Fayyaz Ahmed Aeghari, who proceed to PASC, Lahore.

Commander (retd) Shaukat Al Shah, Commandant Police Training Centre, Saeedabad, was transferred and posted as DIG Operation Hyderabad.

Rasool Bux Sand, AIG Finance, was transferred and posted as Commandant PTC Saeedabad.

Ghulam Asghar Shaikh, ADIG T&T, was transferred and posted as DIG Security and SRP, Karachi, replacing Ghulam Qadir Mahar.

Mir Zubair Mehmood was promoted to BPS-20 and posted as DIG Investigation-II, against an existing vacancy.

Altaf Hussain Bhatti, who was awaiting posting, was posted as Commandant PTC, Shahdadpur.
