GUJRANWALA, Feb 19: The Punjab Higher Education Department amended the Punjab education boards act and regulation and nominated all the executive district officers (education) members of the board, finance and recruiting committees instead district education officers, a notification stated on Tuesday.

Gujranwala Education Board Secretary Muhammad Ahtaram Dar said EDOs in Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin and Narowal would be the members of the board and its finance and recruiting committees, respectively.

Meanwhile, the local board allowed the students of all those private institutions, which had applied for its affiliation with the education board, to participate in annual examinations of matriculation and intermediate, 2002.

The heads of these institutions sent the admission forms of the students in accordance with the schedule.
