Five killed in tribal clash

SHIKARPUR, Jun 24: Five people belonging to Tunio and Brohi tribes lost their lives on Wednesday amid running battles going on between the two for the last many days.

According to details, the deadly shootout began when armed men allegedly belonging to Marfanis attacked and killed one Altaf Brohi, 30, in Faqir Rodan village in the jurisdiction of Gaheja police station on Wednesday evening.

In retaliation, armed Brohis attacked and killed Huzoor Bux, son of Sobdar; Mukhtiar, son of Mohammad Alif; Din Mohammad, son of Yar Mohammad; and Mohammad Yaqoob, son of Jan Mohammad, all Tunios, in Garhi Yasin. No case regarding the retaliatory attack had been registered till the filling of this story, while the Brohis had lodged a case with the Gaheja police and nominated seven people.
