KARACHI, Feb 19: Justice Mohammed Ashraf Leghari of the Sindh High Court has restrained the police from causing harassment and intimidation to M/s Dollar Inn Money Changers or to their employees and customers.

The judge passed the order when the company’s constitutional petition came up for hearing before the single bench.

The petitioner, through their counsel Mohammed Mustafa Husain and Rizwan H. Nadeem, filed the petition against the SHO and SI Nadeem Mubarak of Gulshan-i-Iqbal police station and others, alleging that the police were causing harassment and intimidation to them as well as to their employees and customers.

The petitioner’s employees were threatened that they would be involved in false cases and subjected to third-degree methods unless they paid a fixed amount of “Bhatta” to the SHO.
