‘Most-wanted outlaw’ held

LAHORE, Jan 22: The Kot Lakhpat CIA police on Monday arrested a top-10 proclaimed offender along with his five accomplices from Okara. A team led by Kot Lakpat CIA DSP Imtiaz Ahmed Bhalli arrested accused Sooda Butt, Mooda Butt, Nadeem Bijuwa and three others from Okara on a tip-off.

Sooda Butt is stated to be a right hand of the most-wanted criminal Mubin Butt and was wanted by the police in number of cases of murder, dacoity and extortion in Shafeeqabad, Liaqatabad and Kot Lakhpat areas.

Earlier, Sooda’s accomplice and proclaimed offender Aslam Bassa and his 13 accomplices were arrested by police from Gujjarpura area on Dec 28.

Sooda Butt, Mooda Butt and Bassa were also linked to the murder of three traders in Liaqatabad on Dec 8.

BODY FOUND: The bullet-riddled body of a woman was found in the Chuhng area on Monday.

Police said the body of the woman, about 35, was found lying in a plot in the P&D Colony.

The police suspected that the woman appeared to be a showbiz figure.—Reporter
