QUETTA, Jan 22: The secretary-general of the Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal), Habib Jalib Baloch, has been shifted to the combined military hospital Quetta from the Loralai district jail for treatment.

Justice Kalash Nath Kohli of the Balochistan High Court had ordered the provincial home secretary and the IGP on Friday to shift the detained leader to the CMH on the report of a medical board.

The BNP-Mengal leaders who had been arrested during party’s long march had been kept in different jails of the province.

Former MPA Akbar Mengal, who resigned from the assembly in protest against the killing of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, has been kept in Zhob jail.
