KARACHI, Jan 20: An expo for women is being organised at Expo Centre in Karachi from February 23 to 25. The three-day exhibition is the first national interactive platform for Pakistani women.

It will highlight the progressive image of Pakistani society. The idea behind Women’s Expo is to integrate the efforts of all quarters working for women development and empowerment.

The exhibition will bring together more than a hundred thousand Pakistani women from all age groups and diverse backgrounds to discuss issues concerning them, celebrate their identity, achievements and individuality and highlight their contribution to society.

The first Women’s Expo was held in Karachi last April. It was attended by more than 300,000 Pakistani women.

The exhibition is being organised by 4th Dimension Pvt Ltd in collaboration with the Ministry of Women Development, SMEDA, the German Agency for Technical Cooperation GTZ, non-government sector, corporate sector and the public.

The expo will bridge the gap among the government, the non-government sector, the corporate sector and the public, said the organisers.
