Killer hanged

LAHORE, Jan 19: The killer of Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education chairman Dr Mohammad Yaqoob was hanged at the Kot Lakhpat Jail here on Friday morning. Police said the dismissed union leader, Mian Maqbool, 50, a resident of Bedian Road, had shot dead the chairman in his office on Mozang Road on Sept 27, 2001.

Jail authorities handed over the body to the family.—APP
