RAWALPINDI, Jan 18: Sialkot prevailed over Rawalpindi on a drastically shortened first-day of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Gold League fixture at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Thursday.

Poor light and light drizzle resulted in the game starting after the scheduled tea interval. Put into bat, Rawalpindi were reeling at 47 for four when deteriorating weather conditions ended play for the day nine overs short of the rescheduled quota of 30 overs.

Pace bowlers Kashif Raza and Asif Butt took two wickets each for the champions.
