Woman killed as son resists robbers

MULTAN, Jan 18: A woman was killed when her son offered resistance against their bid to snatch his motorcycle on Wednesday night. Nazir Ahmad of Sher Shah told Muzaffarabad police that he was going along with his mother and brother to buy medicine when four gunmen intercepted them and tried to snatch his two-wheeler. He resisted them and the robbers opened fire, killing his mother on the spot, he added.

In another incident reported to Apla police by Shakil, six armed men in police uniform snatched his motorcycle, cell phone and Rs2,000 in cash.

In the jurisdiction of New Multan police, two robbers deprived Rana Dilshad of Rs17,500 in cash and two cell phones at gunpoint.

Seven outlaws deprived Tariq Khan’s family in Shujabad city of Rs78,000 in cash, 30 grams of gold, two cell phones, a TV set and other household articles.
