Robbers take away cash, valuables

LAHORE, Jan 17: Robbers struck 13 times, injured a man and took away cash and valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees here on Wednesday.

Two armed men intercepted Ahmad in Shahdara and snatched Rs700 in cash, a cell phone and a wristwatch from him besides injuring him on resistance.

The injured was taken to Mayo Hospital.

Five robbers intercepted a wagon en route to a village in Kahna, held the passengers at gunpoint and took away cash, jewellery and valuables.

Some armed men burst into a house in Defence and took away cash and valuables.

Two robbers deprived Attique of cash and a cell phone at Neelam Block in Iqbal Town while as many motorcyclists looted cash, a cell phone and motorcycle from a man in Kashmir Block.

Farman was intercepted by two robbers in front of the Officers Colony gate in North Cantonment and deprived of cash and a cell phone.

Three robbers snatched cash and a cell phone from Zubair near the Canal View Housing Society in Hanjarwal while four armed men intercepted Ghulam Haider in the Kahna area and deprived him of his tractor, cash and a cell phone.

Two robbers snatched cash, two cell phones and a movie camera from Kashif in the Mustafabaad area.

Two gun-toting men intercepted Ibrarullah at Chubucha crossing and snatched Rs60,000 from him, but they were caught by the passers-by and handed over to police.
