MUMBAI, Jan 14: India batsman Yuvraj Singh, who is recuperating from a two-month old knee injury said that he was giving his 100 percent to get back to the international cricket ‘as soon as possible’.

The Punjab southpaw, who was declared fit by Indian cricket board physician Anant Joshi after a thorough fitness test on Saturday, said he was looking forward to play some practice matches ahead of the World Cup to be played in the West Indies in March and April.

“I need to play two, three games and then I can really see myself if I can play the last two West Indies or the Sri Lanka games.

It is very important for me to play a couple of games before the World Cup to assess my fitness level. So, I am giving my 100 percent to play as soon as possible, but it is very difficult to give a timeframe right now,” said Yuvraj.

However, Joshi said that Board physio John Gloster would take a final decision on the left-hander.—Agencies
