Four killed in BD blast

DHAKA, Jan 13: A woman street cleaner and her three young daughters were killed on Saturday when a bomb in a metal container exploded in Bangladesh, police said. The bomb blew up in the woman's slum dwelling after she tried to prise open the container, not knowing it held an explosive device. The woman in the northwestern town of Chapainawabganj was hoping to sell the metal container for scrap, local police chief Mahbubul Alam said.—AFP
