DERA GHAZI KHAN, Jan 12: Carrying out court orders, police arrested a union council No 8 naib nazim, Taunsa Sharif tehsil, for his involvement in a double murder case on Friday.
Complainant Allah Wasai had moved the Supreme Court for the arrest of naib nazim Pir Bashir and MPA Pir Badshah Qaisrani for their abetment in the murder case. The SC directed the DPO to arrest the two accused and produce them before a sessions court on Jan 18. However, the MPA was still not arrested. Police had already arrested the two main accused, Saeed and Qasim, for murdering Khuda Bukhsh and his son Rashid over a marriage issue some four months back.
