Policeman injured

HYDERABAD, Jan 11: A constable of Cantonment police station received bullet injuries during an attempt to nab a gang of criminals here on Thursday night. The injured policeman, Arif, was taken to a hospital. According to Cantonment Police SHO Agha Majeed, a police party confronted the alleged four-member criminals’ gang in a car outside a bakery. One of the bandits opened fire, hitting Arif. The SHO claimed that one of the bandits had been arrested. However, it was learnt that the entire gang had fled.—BoC
