Court gives woman in police custody

NAWABSHAH, Jan 11: A woman, Hameeda Khoso the purported wife of deceased Saleem Khoso, was produced in the court of judicial magistrate Nawabshah to record her statement, here on Thursday. Her father had lodged an FIR with the taluka police for her kidnapping.

The judicial magistrate, Ali Gul Khaskheli, handed over the custody to B-section police, keeping in view her disturbed mental condition.

The statement would be recorded on Friday.

Ms.Hameeda Khoso told newsmen that she was already married and Saleem kidnapped her. She further said that she has requested the judge to handover her custody to her parent. Earlier, medical check-up of Ms.Hameeda was conducted at Nawabshah Medical College hospital. Hospital sources also confirmed that she was pregnant.

It may be mentioned here that Saleem Khoso was killed on Tuesday in an exchange of fire between police and residents of Khair Mohammad Khoso village when he went to recover his purported wife Hameeda.

An FIR was also lodged at the taluka police station against Jan Mohammad Khoso, father of Hameeda and seven others for murder of Saleem Khoso.
