LAHORE, Jan 11: An elderly woman was shot dead allegedly by her son-in-law over a money dispute in Wahdat Colony on Thursday morning. Police said Bashiran Bibi, 70, of Shah Kamal had five daughters and married her eldest daughter, Gulshan, with Imran.

On Wednesday evening, Gulshan along with her husband came to her mother’s house. Bashiran asked her to return Rs1,200 which she had borrowed, but she refused and started an argument with her mother.

Imran left the house and when he became back, the two women were still busy in arguments. He got infuriated and opened fire on Bashiran who died while being taken to hospital.
