LAHORE, Jan 10: As many as 115 Indian fishermen arrested from time to time for violating Pakistani sea limits were handed over to the Indian authorities at Wagah on Wednesday night. The fishermen were brought here by train from Karachi where majority of them were confined in Landhi Jail, officials said. They said all fishermen were over 18 years of age and they had been handed over to the Indian authorities as a goodwill gesture. Two officials of the Indian High Commission in Pakistan were present on the occasion. The fishermen were handed over to the officials of the Indian Border Security Force. Officials said another 415 Indian fishermen were in Karachi jails and they would also be released.
