ZURICH, Jan 9: The Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) on Tuesday clarified that the World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) has not filed any stay applications to restrain fast bowlers Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Asif from taking part in international cricket.
In an exclusive interview to the Voice of America broadcasting service, the CAS Secretary General, Matthieu Reeb stated: “This is to confirm that WADA, while filing appeals against the acquittal of Shoaib and Asif, has not filed any stay application for restraining the athletes from taking part in any competition.
