JACOBABAD: Rally against price hike

Published January 8, 2007

JACOBABAD, Jan 7: The Sindh People’s Youth (Shaheed Bhutto) staged a rally on Sunday in protest against price hike, unemployment and deteriorating law and order situation in the country.

The rally marched on different roads of the city and blocked the DCO Road for an hour.

Local leaders Ghulam Rasool Umrani, Nadeem Qureshi and Syed Aslam Shah said that politicians were providing jobs to their favourites instead of common people who were groaning under the weight of skyrocketing prices of essential commodities and unemployment.

They also condemned the construction of Kalabagh Dam and other anti-Sindh projects.
