KARACHI, Jan 6: Pakistan People’s Party chairperson Benazir Bhutto has said that the joint opposition might boycott the next general elections if the government tried to rig the polls. Talking to a private TV channel, Ms Bhutto said that her party would fully participate in the next general elections. Commenting on reports of a deal between the government and the PPP, she said: “If we are striking a deal with the government there was no need to face hurdle and difficulties for many years. We only want restoration of real democracy in the country.”—Online
