Training course

LAHORE Jan 5: The zoology department of Government College (GC) University, Lahore, in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad, has planned a five-day in-service teachers training course in museum curation and management.

GCU vice-chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Aftab would inaugurate the training on Jan 9, which would conclude on Jan 13 in Fazal-i-Hussain hall of the university.

The workshop theme covers various fields in museum keeping like safety measures and disaster management in museum, taxidermy and skeletal preparations, preservation and maintenance of terrestrial and aquatic fauna, documentation and cataloging of museum specimen, fossilization and techniques for fossil collection and management in museum. — Staff Reporter
