KASHMIR DAY: People of Jammu and Kashmir living on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over will observe the right to self-determination day on Friday, says APP.

The day is being observed when the Pakistan-India peace dialogue process is already underway to resolve all outstanding disputes between the two countries, including the core issue of Kashmir.

In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, special gatherings, rallies and processions would be held in all eight district headquarters.

Special meetings will highlight the importance of the day to the people of Kashmir.

The meetings will reiterate Kashmiris’ principled stance before the world that they would continue their just struggle for achievement of the legitimate right to self determination till the achievement of the ultimate goal.

They will particularly highlight the reality with the earnest demand about early grant of freedom to Kashmiris without further delay.

The right of self-determination day reiterates the longstanding demand of the Kashmiris that they should be granted their birth right to decide about their destiny under the spirit of the internationally-acknowledged UN resolutions.

In Mirpur, a right to self-determination day rally will be held at the district court premises at 10:00 am.
