SIALKOT, Dec 31: A Daska-based trader, who had eagerly planned to celebrate the silver jubilee of his marriage on Jan 1, 2007 in a unique fashion, died of a cardiac arrest on Sunday — a day before he was to materialise his dream.

According to information gleaned by this correspondent, trader Muhammad Aslam had announced that he would celebrate the silver jubilee of his marriage in the most befitting manner by becoming a groom once again and inviting his dear ones and friends as he did 25 years ago.

He would also go to his in-laws where his wife would be dressed up like a bride and there would be celebrations; a marriage relived amid “long sweet memories”. The couple had tied the knot exactly on Jan 1 twenty-five years ago.

The stage was set to celebrate the occasion when all of a sudden Aslam suffered heart attack and expired in no time, leaving behind the memories that lost their sweetness in the blink of an eye.

The celebratory stuff that decorated the house wore a somber appearance and the dream merchant was laid to rest amid sobs and tears a day before Eidul Azha.
