KARACHI, Dec 29: Five ships carrying containers and to load rice are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Mega-1, Orient Independence, Iran Sattari, Eric G. Gibson and Y.M. Sun to unload and load containers were berthed after the departure of four.

The ships which departed included Hyundai Advance, Y.M. Faha, Ievoli Splender and Conti Esperance, while Shalamar, Windsor Ruby, Y.N. Sun, Eric G. Gibson, Kota Merdesa and Iran Sattari are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.101m tons comprising 18,734 tons of export cargo including 1,951 tons of rice and 81,888 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Bunga Delima, Saudi Hofuf, Nord Woge, Gallanat Wave with containers and George to load 8,500 tons of rice.
