KARACHI: Minister visits WWF centre

KARACHI, Dec 28: Minister of State for Environment Malik Amin Aslam, who visited the Daran Beach near Jiwani, released more than 30 turtle hatchlings back into the sea. This was stated by an official of the WWF Pakistan here on Thursday.

He said the minister visited the Jiwani Conservation and Information Centre. The official pointed out that the WWF maintains the JCIC for awareness-raising and education purposes.

The minister was given a presentation about the WWF's Centre, and the organisation's initiatives regarding conservation and awareness-raising.

The WWF has been working in the area to address key conservation and social issues.—APP
