Two traffickers arrested

MURREE, Dec 27: The local police claimed that they have arrested two members of a gang involved in narcotics smuggling and seized 272 kilograms of hashish and 3kilograms of heroin from a car at Jheka Gali on Tuesday night.

According to sources in the department, the police stopped a Honda car at Jheka Gali and during checking seized the contraband from the vehicle carrying official green number plate.

The police arrested Asadullah, resident of Swabi and Imran Khan alias Raju, residents of Swat, NWFP. Police also seized two fake number plates and documents from the accused.

During interrogation both men reportedly confessed that they were trafficking drugs to Azad Kashmir’s earthquake affected areas and parts of Punjab. Murree police registered a case against the accused and started investigation.
