Another dud rocket found

Published December 27, 2006

ISLAMABAD, Dec 26: A dud rocket was found in a green area of the capital city, police said on Tuesday. The police believed that it was one of the rockets from the huge Ojhri camp arsenal which blew up on April 10, 1988.

The rocket was found by CDA labourers while digging earth at H-9/4, who informed the police. The bomb disposal squad and the personnel of law-enforcement agencies and the army rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area. However, the bomb disposal squad declared the rocket dud after inspection.

Later, the rocket was handed over to the army.— Staff Reporter
