PESHAWAR: Professor passes away

PESHAWAR, Dec 23: Well-known surgeon Prof Riaz Ahmed Khan of the Naseer Teaching Hospital, Peshawar, has died of cardiac arrest. He was 66.

He was buried on Saturday. His Soyem would be held on Sunday at his residence in Hayatabad.

Meanwhile, a condolence meeting was held at the headquarters of the Ghandhara University under the chairmanship of Chancellor Roeeda Kabir. The professors and staffers of Kabir Medical College, Naseer Teaching Hospital and Sardar Begum Dental College attended the condolence meeting.

They expressed their heartfelt sorrow over the demise of surgeon Riaz Ahmed Khan. They also prayed for the departed soul.—APP
