Two injured by robbers

SHEIKHUPURA, Dec 22: Four robbers shot and injured two people on resistance and fled with booty worth thousands of rupees on Friday. The armed men stormed into Ahmad Din’s house, held the inmates at gunpoint and collected ornaments, cash and valuables.

When they were fleeing, Ahmad Din and his servant tried to stop them, on which the robbers opened fire and injured them. Bhekhi Police Station are investigating.

Separately, two robbers barged into a factory owned by Khalid and stole cloth and other material. Police are investigating.

DEATH TERM: The Ferozewala additional district and sessions court sentenced to death Nasir and Ghulam Ghaus in a murder case on Friday.

The convicts had gunned down Akram in Sept 2003. The court declared two other co-accused, Dost Muhammad and Salamat, innocent in the case.
