KARACHI: Sarwar Awan dies in hospital

KARACHI, Dec 22: The chief of the Pakistan Pasban Ittehad formally known as defunct Punjabi Pukhtoon Ittehad, Ghulam Sarwar Awan died after a brief illness at a local hospital on Friday night. He was 80.

He was admitted in OMI Hospital for the last 18 days. A close aide of the deceased Chaudhry Tahir told Dawn that Mr Awan was diabetic.

He said his funeral arrangement had not been finalised yet but funeral prayers were expected at around Zuhr or Asr prayers. He leaves behind six children to mourn his death.
