KGA Gym move into third round

KARACHI, Oct 18: KGA Gymkhana moved into the third round of the Lal Rab Nawaz Mubarak cricket tournament, after beating Al Sham CC by four wickets at the KGA ground.

Batting first Al Shams were bowled out for 135 runs in 32.1 overs, with the openers Attaullah (37) and Masood (21), reaching double figures.

Leg spinner Imran Bashir was the pick of the KGA attack claiming 4/22. He was ably supported by left-arm Victor Sebastian 2/15 and Andre Bernard 2/17.

KGA in reply made heavy weather of the proceedings, losing their first four wickets with only 49 runs on the board. But opener Sham Ramesh (33) and Victor Sebastian (32 n.o.) steadied the innings as KGA reached the winning target in 28.3 overs, losing six wickets.

Kamran using the new ball for good measure bagged 3/34.
