KARACHI, Dec 21: Promising leg-spinner Shahzeb recorded a six-wicket haul as Zone IV Whites reached the Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA) U-19 Inter Zonal Cricket Tournament final, surpassing Zone VI Whites by 43 runs here on Wednesday at the TMC ground.

With this victory, Zone IV Whites confirmed their final battle against Zone II Whites, to be played at the KCCA Stadium on Friday.

Defending 162, Zone IV restricted their opponents to 119 in 38.1 overs due to deadly bowling from Shahzeb who conceded 44 runs for his match-winning haul. Arsalan Salim (4-28) also bowled well for Zone IV Whites. Saad Sarkhail (34) and Hasan Javed (27) were the main scorers for Zone VI Whites.

Earlier, batting first, the winners posted 162-7 off the allotted 50 overs with M Jawwad (48) being the top scorer. Salman Ahmed also hit a classy 43. Wasim Ali took three wickets for Zone VI.
