LAHORE, Dec 20: Punjab and Islamabad won boys and girls events respectively in the Inter-provincial Under-17 badminton championship on Wednesday.

Punjab defeated NWFP while Islamabad secured victory against Sindh.

Results:

Punjab bt NWFP 3-0 (Arslan bt Hasan 21-8, 21-19; Adil-Azeem bt Tahir-Inam 21-11, 17-21, 21-15; Irfan bt Tahir 21-13, 21-12).

Islamabad bt Sindh 2-1 (Sidra bt Mehwish 21-16, 21-10; Daniya-Sidra bt Humaira-Saima 21-6, 21-11; Moneesha (Sindh) bt Dania 21-15, 21-13).—Sports Correspondent
