Five killed in two road accidents

BAHAWALPUR, Dec 20: Five people were killed and about 20 sustained injuries in two road accidents in the district on Tuesday night. Reports said three passengers were killed and 20 injured in a collision between a Karachi-bound bus (Karachi-3200) and a truck near Uch Sharif, about 70km from here. The dead have been identified as Khuda Bux of Multan and Abdul Rashid of Muzzafargarh. The injured were admitted to hospitals of Uch Sharif, Channigoth and Ahmedpur East.

In the second incident, two motorcyclists Naveed and Abdul Rehman were run over and killed by a speeding truck of a premier government institution on canal bank near Yazman, some 30km from here.

LLB RESULT: The Islamia University Bahawalpur has announced the result of LLB (part-II) annual examination, 2006 held in August/September this year.

According to gazette notification issued here on Wednesday by the controller (examination), of 199 candidates, 74 were declared successful showing a pass percentage of 17.19.
