Slain DIG laid to rest

LAHORE, Dec 19: Funeral of the late Bannu DIG Abid Ali, who had been gunned down by some unidentified people in Bannu, was held in Lahore on Tuesday.

Earlier, his body was brought here by a special plane from Bannu. DIG (investigation) Azam Joyia, DIG (finance) Shafeeq Mughal, other senior officers and family of the deceased were present at the Lahore airport. — Reporter
