BAHAWALPUR, Dec 15: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has announced awarding of national talent scholarships on merit to 55 candidates on the basis of the result of intermediate examination, 2006.
A notification issued by the BISE here on Friday in this regard has invited objections to the list of selected students from any other claimant within 15 days.
SUSPENSIONS: The EDO (Education), during surprise raid on the Government Boys High School, Magwani, suspended the headmaster for remaining absent from the duty.
The EDO also suspended some absent staff members of a girls’ primary school in the area.
He also got ejected a landlord from the girls’ school building who had been using it as a cattle pen, while the classes were being held at another place.
IJT: IJT central chief Nasrullah Goraya said at a press conference here that the organisation’s protest against music classes in the Punjab University would continue till the suspension of the same.
He also demanded an end to the entry test system and self-finance admission schemes, which, he said were against the interests of students and their parents.
RESULTS: The Islamia University announced the results of B Pharmacy, third professional, annual examination, 2006, held in August this year.
According to a notification issued by the examination controller, out of 20 candidates, nine were declared successful, showing a pass percentage of 45.
