KARACHI: Composite exams

KARACHI, Dec 15: A delegation of the National Education Council (NEC), led by its Chairman Syed Khalid Shah, will hold a meeting with Federal Education Minister Javed Ashraf Qazi in Islamabad on December 18 to discuss matters regarding holding of composite exams and course of class-IX and X.

A press release of the All Private Schools Management Association, Sindh, said here on Friday that the National Education Foundation had appealed to prime minister to help resolve the issues relating to education.

It said that the prime minister had directed federal education minister to discuss issues with NEC members.

The delegation comprises Nazar Hussain from the NWFP, Habibullah Bungalzai from Quetta, Waqas Ahmed from Punjab, Prof Taj Karim from Haripur Hazara, besides Syed Khalid Shah, chairman of the NEF and the All Private Schools Management Association.

The education minister will be briefed about apprehensions expressed by stakeholders regarding changes in the academic session and the proposed switching over to the composite system of examinations for class IX and X.—PPI
