KARACHI, Dec 14: One of more person injured in Tuesday’s blast in Shireen Jinnah Colony died in a private hospital on Thursday pushing the death toll to five.

TPO Clifton SP Azad Khan said Ziaul Haq died on Thursday in Dr Ziauddin Hospital where he had underwent surgery following the Tuesday’s blast. Four persons mainly transport workers died and three were injured in the blast which was initially described as a cylinder explosion. Explosive experts said apparently they were trying to open a shell or a landmine which exploded causing casualties.

ACCDIENT: Two persons died in road accidents in different parts of the city on Thursday.

Police said that 25 year old Muhammad Imran died when his two-wheeler was hit by a speeding trawler near Punjab Chowrangi on Tuesday. Police arrested the driver Khizer Hayat.

In another accident a young man died and his friend was seriously injured in a road accident at Sharae Faisal late Wednesday night. Muhammad Waqas along with his friend Kamran were returning home when their motorcycle slipped. They hit the pavement, causing Waqas’s instant death while Kamran was in serious condition.
