KARACHI, Dec 13: Seven ships carrying containers, chemicals and to load naphtha are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, APL Dalian, Acx Mimosa to unload and load containers, Tigris to unload coal and Pacific Jade to offload oil.

Six ships, Pu He, Gallant Wave, Acx Mimosa, Swat, Jaeger and Opal departed on Wednesday, while APL Dalian, Soraya and Pacific Jade are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was light as the total tonnage fell to 61,821 tons comprising 17,131 tons of export tonnage and 44,690 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Hightide to load 7,000 tons of naphtha, Al-Marwah with chemicals, Soon Fu Mol, Silver Fern, Oel Victory and Eric Gibson with containers and Thor Nautilus with machinery.
