Karachi races cancelled

KARACHI, Dec 12: The Karachi Race Club (KRC) has cancelled the Gymkhana race meeting which was scheduled to take place at the Racecourse on Wednesday, says an official announcement.

Withdrawal of a large number of horses by the owners during scratching compelled the KRC to put off the programme.

The owners have withdrawn their horses aimed at giving them sufficient rest ahead of a number of cup races including the prestigious Quaid-i-Azam Gold Cup on Dec 25. —AZ
