KARACHI: Recruitment of teachers

Published December 13, 2006

KARACHI, Dec 12: As many as 15,000 teachers are being recruited in Sindh, said Provincial Education Secretary Subagho Khan Jatoi on Tuesday.

In a statement, he said this recruitment would help remove the shortage of teachers in the province to a greater extent.

Mr Jatoi pointed out that the government was also paying attention towards teachers’ training and this would help improve their performance.

He said that there were 41,000 primary schools in Sindh but the number of middle and secondary schools was much less.—APP
