KARACHI, Oct 18: Opener Fahadullah hammered 105 to enable Sui Southern Gas Corporation (SSGC) defeated Hinopak Motors by 45 runs in the opening match of the Lions Trophy KCCA Inter Firms cricket league tournament at UBL Sports Complex Wednesday.

Put to bat first, SSGC made 220 for four in 40 overs, Fahadullah hitting five fours and four sixes during his attacking knock. Muhammad Zafar 37 made with five boundaries and Saad Umer finished 22 not out.

In reply Hinopak Motors managed 175 for eight wickets in 40 overs. Ishtiaq played a breezy innings of 56 with five hits to the fence and three sixes. Rizwan Ahmed (35), Umer Hatmi (32) also batted well.

Medium pacer Rizwan Saeed and left arm spinner Sohail bowled well captured three wickets each for 21 and 40 runs.—APP
