Nasir wins STA singles crown

KARACHI, Dec 8: Third seed Nasir Mushtaq whipped unseeded Abdul Majeed of Hyderabad in straight sets in the final to win men’s singles crown in the STA Development Tennis Series at the CDGK sports complex on Friday.

The 6-2 6-4 triumph also earned him a double crown as he had won the juniors U-17 title the other day beating Abbas Raza.

With a number of titles already under his belt, Zuhair Raza handed a 6-2 6-3 defeat to Omer Shahid to claim boys U-15 trophy.

The boys U-9 title went to Imran Mooraj who got the better of Talha Zubair 6-4, 6-2.

Anum Saeed was awarded the ladies trophy as her opponent Domichi failed to turn up for the fixture. They attained top two slots in the round robin league.
