DOHA, Dec 6: Pakistanis performed poorly in the men’s 25m Rapid Pistol qualification stage two of the Asian Games shooting contest here on Wednesday at the Lusail Shooting Range, with all the three going down tamely.

Mustaqeem Shah, Maqbool Tabassum and Afsar Khan were totally off-colour in the event which was dominated by the Chinese who secured the first three positions through Penghui Zhang (580), Guouhui Liu (579) and Zhongsheng Liu (579).

At the Asian Games so far all the Pakistan shooters have failed to show good performance in various events held so far.

Mustaqeem (559), Maqbool (548) and Afsar (539) claimed the 24th, 30th and 34th places respectively.

Surprisingly, the Pakistan shooters were happy that even some of the contestants were behind them in the 38-men competition in which Bahrain’s Ashban Sulaiman hit the rock bottom.—APP
