KARACHI: Seminar for town nazims

KARACHI, Dec 6: The National AIDS Control Programme (NACP) and Sindh AIDS Control Programme (SACP) jointly held an advocacy seminar for nazims and naib nazims of towns, district health management teams and executive district officer (health) on Wednesday.

The participants were updated about national HIV and AIDS situation with a purpose to orientate and sensitise them about the need and importance of the disease prevention in the country. The local government officials were urged to incorporate HIV and AIDS in their agenda.

Discussions were also held for developing linkages among districts for prevention of HIV and AIDS.

Dr Enyat Thavar of NACP, Dr Arshad Mahmood and Dr Nasir Sarfraz of SACP also spoke.
