Teachers protest in Pindi

RAWALPINDI, Dec 5: As a part of the protest call, given by the United Teachers’ Alliance Pakistan to press the government for the notifying benefits and privileges, representatives of the Punjab Teacher Union Rawalpindi chapter held a demonstration outside the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Press Club here on Tuesday.

Dr Chaudhry Sagheer Alam led the demonstration, which was participated by Syed Anwar Hussain Shah, Mohammad Najem Pasha, Asad Ali Raja, Syed Ibrar Hussain Shah, Zaheer Hussain Shah, Chaudhry Ayaz, Sajid Mehmood, Raja Mohammad Azad, Rehmat Ali, Ghulam Jilani, Haroon Rasheed, Raja Tariq Mehmood and others.

The demonstrators were carrying placards inscribed with demands of the teachers.

Speaking on the occasion, Sagheer Alam said that if their demands were not met, the teachers would boycott their classes on December 12.
