Revival of KCR approved

KARACHI, Dec 4: A meeting chaired by Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad on Monday approved revival of the Karachi Circular Railway. Railways Minister Shaikh Rashid Ahmed, Sindh Chief Secretary Fazlur Rehman and Karachi Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal attended the meeting.

The governor said that steps should be taken to complete the project in three years.

The governor said that expertise, experience and resources available with the Pakistan Railways would prove a great assistance for completion of the project which would then be transferred to the Karachi Urban Transport Corporation.—APP
