KARACHI, Dec 2: Pakistan Railways has clarified a news item that appeared in Dawn’s Saturday issue titled ‘Trains run late’. In a clarification issued here, it said all trains left Karachi for upcountry on time except the Millat Express due to its late arrival on Friday. Besides, 11 freight trains left Karachi in addition to the mail and express trains.
As for hiring of drivers on a contract basis, these experienced and medically fit drivers had been engaged against vacancies to meet the requirement of train formation and freight trains operation.
